Undoubtedly Ormagon is one of the best cards in the basic set. His Devastatecan wipe out all non-Underneath opposing creatures to open up a straightassault on your opponent's magi (assuming there were no Underneath creaturesleft). The one downside to this is that in order to use Devastate, Ormagon must relinquish 10 energy, which is what his starting energy is. In order to compensate for this, a combo or two must be used.My favorite combo, which is feasible with the Underneath starter deck, is to play Ormagon then immediately Burrow him to keep him relatively safe from any attacks. After he is Burrowed, use Enrich on him to up his energy by 3. This step can be repeated for as long as he is Burrowed and you have Enriches that you can pay for. If Fossik is your magi, you can add 3 more energy to Ormagon using Strengthen at the end our your turn. For added energy protection, play Digging Goggles and use Tunneling Attack to let Ormagon attack while Burrowed and never lose more than two energy.
In short, build up Ormagon as much as possible, then, on the first stage that you can use powers, use Devastate to wipe out all your opponent's non-Underneath creatures. Assuming there were no opposing Underneath creatures, you should be able to attack your opponent's magi directly and maybe even defeat him is you piled enough extra energy on Ormagon. And remember, all this can be done with an Underneath started deck, so if you do not have one, run out and buy one for the Underneath deck is awesome.
